From my earliest years with a Polaroid and disposable cameras, to my first digital camera (a modest Olympus D-520 Zoom), Canon Powershot S60, Nikon D50, D300s, and now with my current D5600, I have always loved the power of the camera to capture the mood and visual drama all around us, even in the seemingly mundane, creating impressions that last long beyond the initial fleeting moment.

The photos in this particular gallery are entirely from an extended trip throughout central Japan I took in the autumn of 2017.
