Cubism Sculpture

With geometrically impossible surfaces, Pablo Picasso and other cubist painters were able to create striking imagery that seemed to pop off the canvas and come to life. Created for a foundational design course in college, this three-dimensional interpretation of Picasso's cubist painting "Friendship" is made of nothing more than cardboard, hot glue and vinyl paint.  It took some 50 hours in all to complete and is 5.5' x 3.5' x 19".
